Whether it’s an application or contract, Loio lets you overlay text directly onto a PDF. No file conversions, no app-switching—just upload and start typing.
How to insert and position text
Open your document in the editor and follow these steps:
Place text: Select My edits > Text from the left-hand toolbar, click anywhere on the document to create a text box, and start typing.
Move & resize: Adjust text positioning by dragging its box. Resize by pulling the corner anchor points.
How to customize your text
When a text box is selected, use the top action panel to style your content:
Change the font and size, control alignment, or apply bold, italic, and underline formatting.
Adjust the text opacity and modify text or fill colors.
Click the trash bin icon to remove a text box.
If a document contains fillable fields (filling out a form)
If your PDF has interactive boxes to input text (like tax forms), simply click a field and start typing.
How to insert a date
Place a date: Select My edits > Date in the left-hand toolbar and drop the current date anywhere on a document.
Edit (optional): Double-click the date box to manually type the correct month, day, or year.
Reposition: Click and drag the date box to your desired location (if you are currently typing in the box, click outside of it first, then select it again to move it).
Customize style: Use the top action panel to change the font, size, color, or alignment. Date overlays share the same styling options as standard text overlays.
Save and export
After editing, click Export in the top right corner. Choose how you want to export the document:
Download: Save the signed file to your device.
Email: Send it to your email address.
Print: Create a hard copy.
Save and close: Exit the editor and keep your changes.
