Available on: Plus and Pro; Free: Reviewers only
Stop emailing revisions back and forth. Invite people to work on the agreement in Loio, letting everyone see the same up-to-date draft in real time. You stay in control: each contributor gets a role that defines what they can do.
1. Choose the right role
Before inviting someone for collaboration or negotiation, decide how they can interact with your draft. A contributor can be on your team or on the other side of the deal.
Role | Permission |
Owner | The person who created the document. Edits, comments, accepts or rejects suggestions, manages contributors, and sends the document for signing. |
Editor | Works as a co-owner: edits, comments, invites contributors, and accepts or rejects suggestions. Editors can’t delete the document. |
Reviewer | Views the document, comments, and suggests changes to the text. |
Approver | Views the document, comments, suggests edits, and approves it before it can be sent for signing. |
Note: The final decision on every suggestion stays with the Owner and authorized Editors. Reviewers and Approvers can propose and discuss changes, but they can’t accept or reject them.
2. Invite a contributor
Click ☰ in the top-right corner and select Invite contributors (or click +Add contributors next to the document’s name).
Enter the contributor’s email address.
Choose a role from the dropdown next to the email.
Click Invite.
You can invite one person at a time and up to 10 contributors per document (2 with Free; 5 with Plus; 10 with Pro). Each contributor gets an email invitation to access the document.
3. Make a contributor a signer (optional)
If a contributor also needs to sign, enable Add user as a signer and use the dropdown to pick their signer role. Their email address is then added to the signature request automatically.
For example, invite the client as a Reviewer and a signer: they can suggest changes while you negotiate and sign the same document once you agree.
4. Manage contributors
After the first invitation, the burger menu option changes to Manage contributors. You can also click the avatars next to the document title to see everyone’s status and manage contributors.
Change role: Use the role dropdown next to a contributor.
Remove contributor: Click ⋯ next to a contributor and select Revoke access.
Check statuses and pending invitations: Status labels appear next to every contributor on the list. Invitations that haven’t been accepted yet appear as Pending/Waiting.
5. Invite proposed reviewers
Signers and contributors can ask to bring in another reviewer, for example, their lawyer or CEO. You can invite proposed reviewers from the collaboration menu. The new reviewer joins the document only after the Owner approves the request.
6. Work together in real time
Everyone works in the same draft at the same time. Contributors get emails about invitations, new suggestions, and approvals, so they don’t need to keep the document open.
